Current Research: Founder of the TechCast Project (, a virtual think tank that pools the knowledge of 100 experts worldwide to forecast breakthroughs in all fields of science and technology. This is possibly the best forecasting system in the world. As of August 2009, a Google search for “technology forecasts” ranks TechCast No. 2 out of 45 million hits. Prof. Halal also co-founded of the GW Institute for Knowledge & Innovation, jointly located in the School of Business and the School of Engineering.
