Bio: Robert Gilbert is Chief Executive Officer of the Hospitality Sales & Marketing Association International (HSMAI), where he has been instrumental in revitalizing membership, reaffirming a commitment to industry-specific education, introducing the HSMAI brand in Asia Pacific, and creating and launching HSMAI University, which provides a broad-based education program for all hospitality individuals.

Prior to joining HSMA, Gilbert was Vice President of Marketing for a leading hotel management company. He serves on the Board of Directors of the American Hotel & Lodging Association and the Convention Industry Council and is on the Board of Trustees of the World Tourism Foundation. He is also a member of the Travel and Tourism Coalition of the Travel Industry Association of America and serves on numerous advisory boards of hospitality and hotel management schools.
