Elective Options

Elective credits can be fulfilled by taking a 6000+ level course in any of the following GW School of Business departments:

  • Accounting
  • Decision Science
  • Finance
  • Information Systems and Technology Management
  • International Business
  • Marketing
  • Management
  • Strategic Management and Public Policy

In addition, students can also fulfill elective requirements with up to 12 credits outside of the School of Business and up to six (6) of those credits can be fulfilled outside of The George Washington University.  Courses must be 6000 (graduate level) or above to fulfill MBA elective requirements.

Students should consult the Schedule of Classes posted on the Office of the Registrar website for a full listing of courses offered.


Students who must complete selectives as part of their degree requirements should consult the lists of approved courses. Approved courses vary by semester.
