Marketing, banking, high tech and a variety of other industries are now using cases to differentiate candidates. David Ohrvall, author of Crack the Case System and founder of MBACASE, will give you a complete overview of how to do well on your cases. You will be challenged to think beyond simple frameworks and be prepped to handle a variety of analytical problems in your upcoming interviews.

There are 2 separate sessions available. The first is an international career workshop specifically for GW sophomores, juniors and seniors with a global mindset. The second is specifically for international students, seeking to expand their international experience by working abroad.

Creating a Winning Global Job Search Toolkit, International Career Workshop for GW Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors
Date: September 29, 2015

Workshop Leaders: Stacie Nevadomski Berdan, International Careers Expert

This session will help you understand how to:
-Determine what it means to you to work internationally.
-Devise a strategy and navigate the steps to launching an internation career.
-Brand yourself in your resumes, cover letter, and social media.
-Acquire, build on, and leverage cross-cultural and international skills and experiences such as traveling, volunteering, living, and studying abroad, learning foreign languages, and completing globally-oriented coursework.

Going Global for International Students

Learn and practice how to:
-Define your personal global brand.
-Understand the characteristics of and devise a strategy for an international job search.

Vetr is an investment research platform through which users have the ability to make ratings on stocks. We have created a stock-picking competition for college students. Participants are required to predict at least 5 stock prices on The most accurate participant will win an internship with us here at Vetr. This is a great experience for aspiring investment analysts or for those who want to learn more about the stock market.
