Sylvia Gray

Sylvia Gray joined the F. David Fowler Career Center as a Career Consultant in February 2009, and is focused on working with students in the MBA and Specialized Masters programs.  She has delivered  workshops, webinars, and individual coaching to international and domestic students, helping them refine their approach to the US marketplace.

A career management and training consultant, she has more than 20 years of broad experience in the private, federal and local government sectors.  She is especially skilled in motivating, inspiring confidence and identifying strengths in clients from a wide range of professions.  Sylvia has been recognized for coaching international clients to successfully communicate their professional value to the US marketplace. She has worked for Right Management as a Senior Consultant and for Verizon as an HR Generalist. Sylvia has delivered training and career transition services for the IMF, WMATA, Federal Government, EXXON, Verizon, National Geographic, and Washington Gas among others, in addition to local hospitals and national trade associations. 

Sylvia earned an MA from American International College, Springfield, MA, and a BA from Pepperdine University, Malibu, California. She has volunteered with Hope and a Home, and served on the Boards of the Association of Career Professionals International and the DC Children’s Trust Fund.
