Iris Zimmerman Garza is an Employer Development Consultant. She is responsible for assisting the F. David Fowler Career Center with identifying employers and developing relationships that lead to internships and job opportunities for George Washington School of Business graduate and undergraduate students and alumni.
Iris began her career in higher education as a Student Affairs Administrator, having worked at Western Connecticut State University as the Associate Director of Student Activities and Acting Director of the Student Center; then at James Madison University as Assistant Director, Organizational and Leadership Development. Iris then moved into Corporate America, having been an Executive Recruiter with several corporations including Hughes Network Systems, Siemens Business Solutions (formerly Entex) and Goldman, Sachs & Co. Prior to joining The George Washington University's F. David Fowler Career Center, Iris was the Managing Director for Bari Consulting and before that she worked for Fannie Mae as a Project Manager.
Iris has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communication and a Master of Science Degree in Counseling Psychology from Western Connecticut State University. Iris has a Data Center Management Professional Certificate from Marist College. Iris is also a MBTI Certified Instructor.
