Employers who actively recruit GWU students recruit in a variety of ways. Some come to campus and conduct on-campus interviews in the fall and spring, while others post job opportunities with our office that students can apply to and interviews are offsite, typically at their offices. You can find out which employers are coming to campus and apply for positions via GWorkSB. If you are selected for an on-campus interview, you will be notified by the Career Center and will be able to select your interview slot through GWorkSB. Students wishing to participate in the On-Campus Recruiting (OCR) program must first complete the OCR Orientation.

Employers often schedule an Information Session in conjunction with an On-Campus Interview visit. The session may be scheduled in advance of the resume drop deadline or the night before the interview day. Some organizations will schedule an Information Session in lieu of On-Campus Interviews to identify candidates and “sell” their organization. Sessions are open to all students, unless otherwise noted. These sessions provide great opportunities for students to learn more about a particular company and to network with key decision makers within the firm. Please consult the calendar in GWorkSB for upcoming events – please RSVP for the event if you are interested in attending and be sure to dress accordingly.
As networking is such a crucial part of your job search, the Career Center works to provide opportunities throughout the academic year, including career fairs, for students to meet and network with employers and/or alumni. Events will vary in size and scope of employers and alumni present, however, attendance at these events is highly recommended. Please consult the calendar in GWorkSB for upcoming events – please RSVP for the event if you are interested in attending.
GWorkSB is the online job/internship bank and web-based recruiting system for GW School of Business students and alumni. GWorkSB features full-time career positions for seniors and graduate students preparing to enter the workplace; students of all class levels may use GWorkSB to apply for regular part-time and full-time jobs, federal work-study and seasonal jobs, as well as career-related internships.
