MBA Career Treks and Undergraduate New York Trip

Alumni can volunteer to serve in a variety of roles during our semi annual MBA Career Treks and annual Undergraduate New York Trip. This is an opportunity for you to assist your employer in recruiting GWSB students by having students come right to your front door!

MBA students travel on two treks per year typically to NYC and San Francisco, while BBA students take an annual trip to NYC. By sponsoring trips to different employers in a variety of geographic locations, we allow you the opportunity to see students in your own setting and even interview them at your location if you choose.

The first way Alumni can volunteer for both of these trips is by hosting students at your company. Site visits typically include an informal presentation about your organization's culture, industry trends, and job/internship opportunities. Afterwards, employer representatives network with the students and answer questions individually.

During the MBA Career Trek there is an opportunity for Alumni to host a small group of students for dinner. This will give students an opportunity to hear from you about your experience post GWSB. You will also have the opportunity to learn about the current happenings at the School.

Finally, the highlight of both trips is a Student/Alumni networking reception. All GW Alumni in the host region are invited to attend these exciting networking events, which give you an opportunity to meet GW Alumni from your area. It also provides a forum for you to connect with our students.
