GW-CIBER Faculty Development in International Business
FDIB – Succeeding in Emerging and Developing Markets: Understanding How Institutions Impact Firms and Managers
GW-CIBER’s flagship faculty development workshop draws on the Center’s theme of Institutions, Policies, and Development in International Business. Faculty members from around the country gain the knowledge, tools, and teaching materials they need to introduce courses and modules related to this theme in their home universities. Participants also gain tangible experience to bring into their classrooms by interacting with ambassadors from developing countries, senior officials from the World Bank group and other multilaterals, representatives from government agencies, and executives with lifetimes of experience in developing countries. The workshop covers topics such as financial capital challenges in developing countries, coping with corruption, and resources for the International Business classroom.
